Asante Kotoko players in the Black Galaxies’ CHAN team have returned to the team’s training ahead of their Match Day 16 Premier League game against Accra Lions.

Sheriff Mohammed and Augustine Agyapong played crucial part in Ghana’s participation in the tournament hosted by Algeria which Black Galaxies got exited in the quarter finals by Niger.

The 18-year-old right back played all three games for the Galaxies, starting the last two against Sudan and Niger carving a niche as a promising right back scoring a consolation against Madagascar’s 2-1 lost in the first game.

Sheriff Mohammed, who has been a novice in top-flight football in Ghana, had little time to contribute to the team as he only played few minutes in Ghana’s defeat in the quarter finals to Niger.

Moving from Liberty Professionals to Asante Kotoko has produced a station of par excellent performance this season for Sheriff Mohammed and has become a commander at the heart of defense for his side.

Both players are available to be counted in the books of Head Coach Seidu Zerbo in their next game against Accra Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday.

Asante Kotoko have fell on the league log to fifth after failing to pick maximum points against Karela United at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Thursday with focus on squeezing what is need most in their next game at home.

The availability of these duo is a tonic for the club in strengthening their arsenal, especially at defense where Sheriff Mohammed and Augustine Agyapong fall, to push further on brightening their chances of defending the league trophy.

The game between Asante Kotoko and Accra Lions comes of at 6 PM live on StarTimes at the Baba Sports Stadium.
