Parin FC produced a strong response in the ongoing Accra North District Football Association (ANDFA) Division Three League, thrashing Achimota Manchester United 4-1 in their penultimate fixture at the Abofu Astro Turf.

The emphatic victory came at the perfect time for Parin FC, who were looking to bounce back after suffering a painful 1-0 defeat to Dove FC in their previous outing — a result that cost them top spot after weeks at the summit of the table.

It was another dominant display against Achimota Manchester United, completing a league double over their opponents after an astonishing 7-1 win in the first round.

Parin FC had controlled much of the title race before their narrow setback against eventual winners Dove FC, but they showed resilience and character to return to winning ways in style.

Returning from a two-match suspension following a red card against Desire FC, leading striker Michael Ayertey made an instant impact with a superb brace. He opened the scoring in the 21st minute before adding his second in the 65th minute to cap an impressive performance.

Jones Baah Adusei doubled the advantage in the 32nd minute, while Samuel Amponsah added a third just before the break in the 43rd minute, giving Parin FC a commanding 3-0 lead at half-time.

After the restart, Parin FC maintained their attacking rhythm and control of the contest, with Ayertey’s second goal sealing a deserved 4-1 triumph.

The result underlines Parin FC’s determination to finish the campaign strongly and sends a clear message that they remain one of the most formidable sides in the division.
