Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his disappointment over the latest injury setback suffered by fellow international Mohammed Kudus, describing the midfielder as a crucial figure for both club and country.

Kudus is set for another spell on the sidelines after reportedly suffering a relapse during his recovery from a quad injury, dealing a fresh blow to Ghana’s national team hopes and his club ambitions.

Speaking about the unfortunate development, Semenyo admitted the news was frustrating for everyone connected to the Black Stars.

“He relapsed during his comeback from his quad injury. It’s frustrating because he is a pivotal factor in the Black Stars team for sure.”

Kudus has become one of Ghana’s most influential players in recent years, admired for his creativity, technical ability and knack for producing decisive moments in big matches. His absence would be a major concern for the Black Stars coaching staff as preparations continue for upcoming international fixtures.

The talented midfielder has often been the spark in Ghana’s attack, offering goals, assists and leadership despite his relatively young age. Supporters will now be hoping he can make a full recovery and return stronger in time for the nation’s next assignments.

For Semenyo and his teammates, the focus remains on rallying around Kudus while preparing to cope without one of their standout performers if required.
