Footballers from Senya Bereku continue to make their mark in leagues across Ghana and abroad, with several players delivering impressive performances for their respective clubs this season.

From clean sheets in Benin to title challenges in local division football, the town’s growing reputation for producing quality talent is once again on full display.

Awere Shines in Benin Top Flight

In the Benin Ligue 1, goalkeeper Stephen Awere produced another assured display as Real Sports du Benin secured a goalless draw away to AS Èlite FC.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs and King Faisal shot-stopper kept a clean sheet with a string of important saves, further underlining why he has been one of the standout performers for his side this campaign.

Awere’s consistency between the posts has earned praise from supporters and teammates alike, with many describing him as one of the revelations of the season.

“Every match is an opportunity to prove myself,” Awere said. “I am working hard to help my club and make my people in Senya Bereku proud.”

GPL Stars Await Return to Action

Back in Ghana, two Senya Bereku players were inactive this weekend due to the temporary suspension of the Ghana Premier League, as attention shifted to the MTN FA Cup fixtures.

John Andoh did not feature for Swedru All Blacks, with the club’s home venue occupied for the cup games, while Godfred Yawson was also unavailable for Bechem United for the same reason.

Both players are expected to return to action once league matches resume.

“We are ready for the restart and eager to continue fighting for our clubs,” Andoh said.

Razak Impressing for Top Talents

In the Central Regional Division Two Zone Four League, midfielder Abdul Razak Salihu is expected to play a key role for Top Talents FC as the season nears its conclusion.

Since joining the side this season, the energetic midfielder has become one of their most influential players, impressing with his composure on the ball, creativity and tireless work rate in midfield.

With the title race intensifying, his contributions could prove decisive in the final stretch of the campaign.

“The season is not over yet. We want to finish strongly and achieve something special,” Razak stated.

Koomson Pulling the Strings for Cheetah FC

Also in the same division, midfielder Frederick Koomson continues to enjoy a fine campaign with Cheetah FC.

The talented playmaker has featured in 15 matches, scoring three goals and providing six assists. His eye for a pass and ability to control games from midfield have made him one of the most exciting players in the league.

Supporters have praised Koomson for bringing flair and consistency to the side.

“I always want to create chances and help my team win. That is my focus every game,” he said.

Young Goalkeeper Doughan Chasing Glory

Another exciting name to watch is 18-year-old goalkeeper Ebenezer Doughan, currently starring for 7th Wave FC.

Having previously played for Wonders FC and Feiles FC, the young shot-stopper has been in tremendous form this season as his side lead the GARFA Division Two Zone Three League table.

With just three points needed to be crowned champions, Doughan has played a crucial role in their title charge with commanding displays and vital saves.

“Winning the league would mean everything for us. We have worked so hard for this moment,” Doughan said.

Senya Bereku’s Football Legacy Growing Stronger

With players excelling in different competitions, Senya Bereku continues to establish itself as a breeding ground for football talent.

Whether in top-flight leagues, lower divisions or youth competitions, the town’s sons are proving that dedication, discipline and hard work can take local talent to greater heights.
