The campaign team of Dave Bishop has announced a change in his candidacy for an executive position with the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).

Mr Bishop has withdrawn from the race for 1st Vice President and will instead contest for the office of 2nd Vice President. In a statement released by the team, the decision follows thorough reflection and advice from trusted colleagues.

The campaign described the move as strategic, saying it will offer an opportunity to deepen relationships within the boxing community.

“This strategic move will give us the opportunity to deepen our relationships within the boxing community and let our actions and service to Ghana boxing demonstrate our commitment and competence,” the statement said.

The team expressed gratitude to supporters for their loyalty and energy invested so far, and urged them to continue backing Mr Bishop in his new bid.

“Your ongoing support is vital as we work toward meaningful progress,” the statement added.

The campaign reminded supporters of its guiding promise: “The future is coming.”
