The President of World Athletics, Lord Sebastian Coe, has officially arrived in Accra ahead of the much-anticipated African Seniors Athletics Championships.

His arrival marks a major milestone for Ghanaian athletics and the wider African sporting community as preparations gather momentum for what is expected to be a historic championship in Accra in 2026. Lord Coe’s visit further highlights Ghana’s growing reputation and international recognition as a capable host of major global sporting events.
