Head Coach of Accra Lions Ibrahim Tanko heaped praises on the quality that Asante Kotoko possess crediting them that his side virtually did nothing to deserve a point on Monday evening.

That notwithstanding, the Black Meteors gaffer chipped in the inexperienced of his side being the reason Accra Lions woefully lost by 4-0 to Asante Kotoko in their Match Day 16 encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Speaking to the media after the game, Ibrahim Tanko boldly admits that his side played to the dictates of their opponents which caused them problems in the game.

“We deserve to lose. We’ve done nothing to deserve even a point. Kotoku were the better side so deserve to win the points.

“They are a young team and need experience. The name Kotoko came over them. We played the game into their pressure and was a bad day at office”, Ibrahim Tanko said.

The defeat to Asante Kotoko sinks Accra Lions down the pecking order on the league table to 5th with 24 points after 16 round of matches.
