The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Asante Kotoko SC has summoned goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, striker Kwame Poku and midfielder Joseph Ablor for a meeting following explosive allegations made by former player Justice Blay during a radio interview.

According to sources within the club, the meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 15th July 2025, as the IMC seeks clarity and insight into the claims made by Blay.

Justice Blay’s contract was terminated by the club a few days ago amid rumours suggesting that he was a heavy drinker and a negative influence on younger players. In an attempt to clear his name during an interview with Pure FM in Kumasi, Blay made several counter-accusations against some of his former teammates.

“People have been misinformed that I’m the only drunkard in the club, but that’s not true,” Blay stated. He alleged that goalkeeper Mohammed Camara and Joseph Ablor also engaged in smoking substances such as shisha. Additionally, he accused both Camara and Kwame Poku of being involved in personal disputes, claiming they had relationships with women he was romantically involved with.

Blay’s comments have sparked concern within the club, prompting the IMC to act swiftly in order to verify the veracity of the claims and maintain discipline and unity within the squad.

The outcome of Tuesday’s meeting is expected to influence any potential disciplinary actions or internal measures the club may take.
