Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Goldstars have announced the departure of eleven players as part of a significant squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The released players include club captain Godfred Kyei, Eric Bosomtwi, and Sadat Mohammed. They are joined by Alex Aso, Frank Amankwah, Michael Osei, Charles Gyamfi Kamara, Yaw Osei, Andrews Cobbinah, William Dankyi, and former AshantiGold midfielder Stephen Banahene.

In an official statement, the club expressed its gratitude to the departing players for their immense contributions to the historic title-winning campaign of 2024/25—Goldstars’ first-ever Ghana Premier League triumph.

Management and the technical team believe the reshuffle is a strategic step to bolster the squad’s readiness for their debut appearance in the CAF Champions League, while also aiming to retain their dominance on the domestic front.

To strengthen the team, Bibiani Goldstars have already secured the services of several new players, including Emmanuel Ankrah, Barimah Baah, Emmanuel Fosu Kyei, Emmanuel Addy, Kwadwo Bonsu, Francis Twene, Sampson Eduku, Emmanuel Agyei, Edward Agyemang, Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng, and Emmanuel Kontoh.

Head coach Frimpong Manso is expected to integrate the new signings during pre-season training, which is set to commence in Accra later this month, ahead of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
