Mexican Ambassador Visits NSA to Explore Ghana-Mexico Sports Partnership Ahead of 2026 World Cup

11

The National Sports Authority (NSA)  welcomed the Ambassador of Mexico to Ghana, Her Excellency Madam Norma Ang Sánchez, to its headquarters at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The visit centred on fostering bilateral cooperation in sports development, with particular emphasis on infrastructure, knowledge exchange in boxing, football and athletics, as well as youth empowerment and sustainable sports infrastructure.

The meeting marked the beginning of what promises to be a fruitful partnership between the two nations.

Her Excellency Madam Ang Sánchez also expressed a keen interest in promoting cultural exchange between Ghana and Mexico—before, during, and after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

Further developments on the partnership are expected in due course.
