Yesterday in Parliament, Hon Stugard had the honour of drawing national attention to the pressing need for improved sports infrastructure in the Bono Region. He specifically advocated for the construction of a modern football stadium in Sunyani, the regional capital, to serve as a befitting arena for hosting major sporting events and promoting talent development in the region.

In addition, he highlighted the need for a decent playing field in Berekum West to support grassroots football and community engagement. The lack of standard facilities has hindered the growth of local talent and deprived young athletes of the opportunity to develop their skills in a safe and professional environment.

Investing in these facilities will not only boost sports development in the region but also create jobs, foster youth empowerment, and contribute to the overall socio-economic advancement of Bono he also called on the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to prioritise these requests in the national development agenda.
