Ghana Wheelchair Tennis Team attacked in Nigeria

Ghana Wheelchair Tennis National Team have been attacked by Armed Robbers in Ogun State in Nigeria midnight at 2:30 AM.

The team participated in the International Tennis Federation, ITF World Tram Cup Africa Qualifiers in Abuja since 8th February to the 12th February, 2023.

The team where returning to Ghana after the games where they got attacked by Armed Robbers and valuables belonging to members of the team stolen.

Daniel Laryea, Razak Baba Abdul, Stacy Mensah Konadu, Phillip Plange, Issah Zenabu, Bernard Yawson and Bridget Nartey were the members of the team that represented Ghana in the Qualifier.

Three of the member got severely injured and have been receiving treatment at a hospital in Nigeria.
