Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has left Great Olympics with immediate effect after the exit Yaw Preko as the Head Coach of the club.

Reports indicates that the former Udinese star left the club because of interference on the part of the management of the club on the coach’s decision to make him a regular player in the set up.

Yaw Preko defended the his decision to make Agyemang Badu a mainstay in the starting eleven of Great Olympics which did not fall well for some management of the club.

After the parting ways of both Yaw Preko and Great Olympics, the midfielder has decided not to return to the club for the second round of the season which start on Friday, February 17, 2023.

“I’m not sure I will return to the club again,” says Agyemang Badu as stated in the media.

“It is just unfortunate but I have heard that the management of the club has taken certain decisions against me which the coach fought against strongly,” he added.

“The decision by the coach to keep me playing cost him his job and this has been confirmed by four members of the technical team,” he added.

“The CEO of the club [Oloboi Commodore] is the one behind it,” he further stated.

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu returned to Ghana after more than a decade in Europe to revive his career having stints with Udinese and a host of Italian clubs.

He joined Great Olympics before the start of the 2022/23 season in Ghana signing a short term contract.

He tasted eleven games in 17 matches and won two Most Valuable Player scoring two times.
