Good News for Kotoko Faithful: Captain Samba O’Neil Poised to Extend Stay

3

Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil is reportedly close to agreeing a contract extension with the club following a marathon meeting held earlier today between the player and his representative.

According to sources within the Porcupine Warriors’ camp, the discussions were “highly positive”, with both parties expressing strong interest in continuing their partnership. The new deal, when finalised, is expected to keep the influential captain at the Baba Yara Stadium for the foreseeable future.

O’Neil, who has been instrumental in Kotoko’s impressive form this season, is admired by both supporters and technical staff for his leadership, work ethic, and consistency on the pitch. His renewal comes at a crucial time, as the club seeks to maintain stability and strengthen its squad ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League campaign.

Management is expected to make an official announcement once the final documents are completed and signed.
