Ghanaian Ismail Abdul Ganiyu has been listed in the TP Mazembe squad for their CAF Confederations Cup games against Young Africans.

The game will come off in the capital city of Tanzania Dar-es-Salaam on Sunday for the second day of matches in the continental show piece.

Ismail Abdul Ganiyu joined the Congolese side on January 30 after leaving Al-Talaba SC in Iraq in September 2022.

The 26-year-old center back is becoming an integral part of the five-times Africa champions and will be looking forward to cementing a place in the starting eleven this season taking advantage of his experience in Africa.

TP Mazembe travel to Tanzania with a 25-man-squad with the aim of thwarting the efforts of the “Yangas” with the Ghanaian playing a crucial role.

TP Mazembe win their maiden game in Group D against Real Bamako in DR Congo last weekend by 3-1 while Young Africans got buttered by US Monastir by 2-0

Ismail Abdul Ganiyu’s side will face Young Africans at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 4 PM GMT.
