‘We Have Unfinished Business’ – Freezy Tells Jonathan Tetteh After Title Defence
Seth Gyimah, popularly known as Freezy McBones, reignited his rivalry with Jonathan Tetteh on Sunday, 5 April, by confronting the champion in the ring moments after his latest victory.

Tetteh had just successfully defended his Ghanaian Light Heavyweight title with an impressive fifth-round stoppage win over Abdul Aziz Quartey when Freezy wasted no time in stepping through the ropes to issue a fresh challenge.
The dramatic face-off immediately captured the attention of fans inside the arena, with calls growing louder for a highly anticipated rematch between the two Ghanaian boxing rivals.
The prospect of a second showdown received an added boost when Chief Executive Officer of Laboma Beach Resort, Dr Tetteh Botchway, publicly backed the contest during the press conference for the upcoming Resurrection Fight Night. He suggested the bout should take place in Kumasi, where interest in the rivalry remains intense.
“Congratulations, Worldwide, for your win. This is the outcome I was looking for, but I want to let you know that we have unfinished business to settle,” Freezy declared after entering the ring.
He then turned to the crowd and shouted: “Oseikrom, are you ready? We are bringing the return fight home, and this time we will not disappoint.”
Their first meeting generated fierce debate among boxing followers, with many supporters still divided over who deserved victory. The bout also carried added emotion because of the strong regional loyalties attached to both fighters, making a rematch one of the most talked-about contests in Ghanaian boxing.
Freezy went a step further by calling on respected promoter Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye of Box Office Sports to make the fight happen.
“Mr Alex, I’m ready to sign that contract now for Freezy vs Worldwide II. Bring it on, the time is now,” he said.
Tetteh, however, offered a more measured response, insisting he would not be rushed into any decision despite his confidence.
“I have beaten you already, so I will not rush into signing any contract to fight you. I will discuss the merit of this with my team before coming public to accept the challenge,” the champion replied.
He added: “I am Talk and Do, so I do not just talk. Once I say it, I will deliver.”
With both men standing firm and fans demanding another clash, attention now turns to Ghana’s promoters to see who will take the bold step of delivering one of the country’s most eagerly awaited rematches.
