Hatayspor have reported the death of their Sporting Director Taner Savut after a massive earthquake in Turkey weeks ago.
Turkish Super Lig side Hatayaspor have reported that the club’s Sporting Director who got missing after Monday, February 06, 2023’s earthquake is dead.
Hatayaspor have been in check of the Sporting Director together with Ghanaian Christian Atsu for several days but proved futile until the latter was found three days ago under the rubble lifeless.
Upon further search by the rescue team in Hatay, Taner Savut is also found dead after more than two weeks after the incident.
The Turkish club has issued a message on the news which left all and sundry broken in pains which states “Our condolences. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our sporting director Taner Savut.
“May the Almighty have mercy on our teacher, our condolences to his family and fans. We will not forget you, Taner. May you rest in heaven. You are always in our hearts.”
The death toll has risen to over 42,310 since the incident happened two weeks ago.
