Bukom Boxing Gym Set for France Exchange Programme with Four Fighters
Renowned Ghanaian boxing hub, Bukom Boxing Gym, is set to embark on an international fight trip to France as part of an exchange programme initiated last year to enhance the development of young talents.

The programme, which aims to expose local boxers to international competition and training methods, will see four promising fighters represent the gym in a series of bouts and technical sessions with their French counterparts.
The travelling team includes Mathias Ashitey (52kg), Precious Akai Nettey (63kg), Emmanuel Attoh (60kg), and James Armah (64kg). Each boxer has been selected based on recent performances and their potential to compete at a higher level.
Coaches at the Bukom Boxing Gym believe the exchange programme will not only sharpen the fighters’ technical abilities but also build their confidence as they face different styles in the European boxing scene. The initiative is also expected to strengthen sporting ties between Ghana and France while creating opportunities for talent identification and future collaborations.
Speaking ahead of the trip, officials expressed optimism that the experience will play a crucial role in preparing the boxers for upcoming regional and international competitions.
The fighters are expected to engage in competitive bouts, joint training sessions, and cultural exchanges during their stay, marking another important step in Bukom’s long-standing reputation as the cradle of Ghanaian boxing excellence.
