Jake Paul has successfully undergone surgery after suffering a broken jaw in two places during his high-profile bout against former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

The American boxer and social media personality confirmed the development via his official social media platforms, expressing gratitude to fans for their messages of support following the injury sustained in the sixth round of the contest.

“Surgery went well. Thanks for all the love and support,” Paul stated. “Two titanium plates were fitted on each side, and some teeth were removed.”

According to sources close to his camp, the procedure was carried out by specialist maxillofacial surgeons and was deemed a success. Paul is expected to be sidelined for several weeks as he begins a strict recovery and rehabilitation programme, which will include limited jaw movement and a monitored return to physical training.

The injury occurred after a series of heavy blows from Joshua, whose power and experience proved decisive in the latter stages of the fight. Medical officials advised immediate surgery following post-fight examinations.

Paul’s team has indicated that further updates on his condition and future in the ring will be communicated once doctors provide a clearer timeline for his recovery. The bout, which attracted global attention, has once again highlighted the physical risks associated with elite-level boxing.
