Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has revealed that he is in no hurry to decide on the next chapter of his club career, insisting that his immediate focus is on enjoying the upcoming FIFA World Cup with the Black Stars.

Speaking about his future plans, the experienced forward stressed that any decision regarding his next club will be made carefully in consultation with his family and representatives after the World Cup.

“When the time comes, I’ll make the decision with my family and representatives on my future club. There’s no rush. I just want to enjoy myself at the World Cup,” Ayew said.

The 34-year-old has been one of Ghana’s most influential players over the years, combining leadership, experience and attacking quality for both club and country. Since being handed the captain’s armband, Ayew has played a pivotal role in guiding a new generation of Black Stars players as Ghana prepares for football’s biggest stage.

His comments are likely to attract significant attention across Europe and beyond, with speculation continuing to surround his next move. However, the former Ghana captain appears determined to keep distractions at bay as the national team intensifies preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ayew’s leadership will be crucial for Ghana as head coach Carlos Queiroz seeks to build a competitive squad capable of making a strong impact at the tournament. Alongside key players such as Antoine Semenyo, Mohammed Kudus and Ibrahim Osman, Ayew is expected to play a central role both on and off the pitch.

Having represented Ghana at multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and previous World Cups, Ayew remains one of the most experienced figures in the national team setup. His calm approach to his club future reflects a player fully focused on national duty and eager to help Ghana achieve success on the global stage.

With the World Cup fast approaching, Black Stars supporters will be encouraged by their captain’s commitment, knowing that his attention is firmly fixed on leading Ghana’s quest for glory before making any decisions about his future in club football.
