Ivan Bruce Cudjoe, Chief Executive Officer of Cabic Promotions & Management, has applauded the organisers of the 2026 Ghana Boxing Choice Awards and congratulated fellow promoters for their recent contributions to the sport.

Popularly known as IBC, Cudjoe has been nominated in the Best Promotions category, but humbly insisted that others have delivered bigger events and equally deserve recognition. He singled out Sharaf Mahama’s Legacy Rise Sports Promotions, Box Office Promotions led by Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, and Bishop Boxing Promotions headed by Dave Bishop for their impressive work.

“Although I am honoured to be nominated, others have staged bigger shows at major venues and also deserve the prize. We hope to improve and continue supporting everyone, including the organisers and the fans,” he said.

Cudjoe also praised the Interim Management Committee of the Ghana Boxing Authority for its efforts in repositioning the sport. He commended chairman Samir Captan, vice-chairman Azumah Nelson, and members of the committee for their expertise in sports medicine, law, security, administration and events management.

A long-time advocate for boxers’ welfare, Cudjoe expressed hope that reforms within the sport would create greater opportunities, stronger financial rewards and future world champions for Ghana.
